PlainPetCare is a data journalism portal that analyzes pet care pricing, grooming, boarding, and training, across U.S. metro areas and dog breeds. The team draws from AKC breed standards, Bureau of Labor Statistics (BLS) regional cost indices, and published industry rate surveys to produce breed- and metro-specific price estimates. Content is compiled by our editorial process. PlainPetCare is informational only and does not constitute veterinary advice; the team does not accept payment from groomers, boarders, trainers, or industry associations to maintain independence.
